Pointing the finger at the competition
There is still something going for the FC untererthal (15./7). The team of coach matthias schneider brought SV rodelmaier, a favorite for the title, to the brink of defeat (2:2) and thus sent an important signal to the competition that they are still to be reckoned with. Now the victorians must travel to an opponent of similar caliber, as it was rodelmaier. TSV bad konigshofen (7./18) is host to the schneider-elf and known to play a fine ball. However, the troop of the trainer duo alexander sarwanidi/bernd tuchert is winless for four games, played last 1:1 in herbstadt. Especially on their own ground, TSV seems to have problems this season, winning only once, but already conceding three defeats. In the last high-scoring meeting in bad konigshofen (3:3), the fclers at least scored a payer.
Enough offensive power
With a lot of euphoria the FC reichenbach (11./15) to second-placed TSV hausen/rhon (2./24). Two wins in a row, each with four goals scored, propelled coach sebastian schmitt’s squad to a non-relegation position. The goal should also be in the rhon after the game with the graumann team, even if the task will be anything but easy. Although hausen has already lost five times this season, TSV has the most victories in the league, eight in fact, alongside top-ranked ramsthal. Sebastian hautzinger is his usual reliable scorer and has 13 goals for the season; his brother stefan has scored nine goals so far, but is absent this time because of a red card received in the 4-0 away win in burgwallbach. Nevertheless, the hosts have enough offensive potential, so that FC keeper yannick kriener had his work cut out for him.
Clear favorite
For SV ramsthal (1./28) continues after the match-free weekend with the home match against SV burgwallbach/leutershausen (13./13). The team of trainer udo romeis is the clear favorite in the race, also because the guests in season one without their top attacker benedikt floth are anything but smooth-running. Coach matthias stumpf’s squad has scored just 14 goals so far. By way of comparison: ramsthal’s offensive weapon steven klitzing has hit the bull’s-eye 19 times so far alone. But it would not be fair to reduce the weindorflers to their exceptional player alone. With the ott brothers, florian hahn, newcomer tobias willacker and freistob specialist timo kaiser – to name just a few – the romeis eleven has enough offensive potential to put any opponent on note. The top-ranked team’s defense is hardly inferior and has conceded only 16 goals against.
